The Ultimate Team Up!
Collaboration and Comics for All
New York Comic Con
October 18, 2024 | New York, NY | 12:30 PM
Session Description:
Collaboration between retailers, librarians and educators can help create an entirely new realm of resources for everyone involved. These relationships can take a lot of work but are incredibly beneficial to everyone involved and help put comics into the hands of readers of all backgrounds. What does it take for a retailer to become a trusted vendor for the local school district or public library? For the librarians and teachers, how do you approach a retailer for programming support for special events or bulk purchases? This conversation is designed to take us well beyond Free Comic Book Day and into the realm of special projects, event planning, understanding the needs and interests of all readers, and establishing long term friendships that benefit everyone involved.
